See what I mean?

This is living proof of Megan's favorite pastime. I am helping her in one picture because she noticed me and was trying to grin when I was taking her picture. I have a klassy baby. I have seen her suck on her thumb a couple times, but clearly she likes other appendages. I am not sure what I am going to do with her. She is so funny. She has turned into such a motor mouth. It can be constant. Like right now, she is complaining in the background. I usually wake to her yelling in her crib, happy as a clam. She also enjoyes adding her comments during Relief Society.

I Heart NY!

On Tuesday, we went down to New York City. It was so fun. We strolled through Central Park, went through the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lincoln Center, Ground Zero, Chinatown, Times Square and Rockefeller Center (did I leave anything out?). We would have (and could have!) done so much more, but Megan is definitely not a city girl. She is more of a stay at home and play with her toes kind of girl. But, I think she had a fun time. She really liked the Museum and looking at all the people and the bright colors of the paintings. She also enjoyed sucking on dad's finger. Oh well, a baby can only have so much class. She also loved the vents on the trains, and I had to keep a close eye on her to make sure she didn't suck on them. We came back Friday afternoon. I also saw two sculptures that I have always liked, and look forward to seeing the Museum of Modern Art next time we go down.

Settled at Last

We finally made it to Connecticut! We arrived on Friday the 17th. It was a good car trip through parts of the country that I had never been through. The weather is amazing. We spent the first couple of days getting everything settled in and set up. Other then a few missing odds and ends, everything is good. Our summer as homeless bums is finally over. Our apartment is much bigger then the one in Provo, and it has so much storage!! We actually have room to store more! It is has been hard in some ways to find a place to put it all, I am so used to our apartment in Provo and how everything was arranged there. We did live there for almost 3 years so it is not too surprising. We look forward to starting a new chapter in our lives.

My New Cousin!!

Rebecca had her baby on the 15th, which is the same as her Grandpa's birthday. Megan was fascinated with her (although you can't really tell by the first picture). Hopefully the next time that we see them, Lilyanne Claire will be ready to play! The three girls are pretty close to each other in age, and will be good friends. The pushing part of the birth took about 10 minutes. I hope that it is the same for me my second time around! Rebecca delivered the day before we left, so it was good timing. My little one looks so grown up and huge next to her. It is so hard to believe that Megan was ever even smaller than Lily. They grow up so fast (sniff!).

Our Life as Nomads Part 3

These are just a couple of cute pictures of Megan. The first is what I like to call "I can't wait to be a Mommy". The next one is a picture of her favorite toy. She was staring at the remote, so Russ put it on his chest, she then pulled it down, and proceded to try to pick it up to suck on it. The remote that we have for our TV here looks nothing like the on in the picture, yet she knows that it is the same thing and wants it as well. She is really starting to hit the "everything in my mouth stage" it is cute, but can get frustrating.

Our Life as Nomads Part 2

Everything is going great here. Melissa and Emily have made it to Utah, we are so excited for them. We (well, I at least) are hoping that someone gets married soon! We wish them the best of luck.

Megan's favorite toys are her burp clothes, her cow, and her toes. She has been working on grabbing them for months now, and has recently achieved her goal. She is now working on getting her toes in her mouth so that she could suck on them. She has gotten close to it, but not quite.

We are now anixously awaiting the birth of Rebecca's little girl. Megan has helped Kate to learn how to be around a baby, and she is so cute with Megan. They will be great friends, and she will have a great time playing with those two. We are hoping that the baby is born before we have to leave, but only time will tell. We are going to be here for one more week. We have had a great time here, but are getting excited about starting Law School in a new state.
