Lake George

We went to Lake George NY on Saturday. It is in the southernmost part of the Adirondacks and about an hour from our apartment. It is beautiful. Of course, when we went it rained, but we are now super excited to go back. We had big plans with how to spend our last remaining free days, but after moving, getting settled in, writing a long overdue memo, and all of the shopping we had to do, we couldn't face too many hours in the car. Updates

We have been trying to get ready for our move on Monday. Russ is almost done with his second year of law school. We have one year left. It seems as though we just started. I can't believe we are almost done with school. Here are some things that we have been up to:

This bird has taken residence right outside our door. We have to allocated 5 minutes extra when we leave because Megan loves her. "'Ook (Look) at Birdie!", "Say Hi to Birdie!", "Kiss the Birdie", and "Hi, Birdie". Megan has developed an unholy fear of automatic paper towel dispensers. We are working on that.

Megan likes to help. Melanie has earned the nickname "Good Sport". We really couldn't asked for a better baby. Melanie did give me several looks filled with indignation at what I put her through (I get that from her a lot). But she survived.

2 year appointment

She watched me put on makeup, and this is what happened after I turned my back for a second.

Megan had her 2 year old appointment. She is 27.5 lbs and 35 in (66th and 70th). Russ is finishing up his second year and we are getting ready to move. We are anxiously waiting for the weather to stay good so we can go outside and play, which Megan asks to do all the time.

We let her pick 4 animals to sleep with at night. 4. You can see how well that one works. Megan is on the far center right, if you can't find her.
They are wearing the same diaper brand, but different sizes.

Happy Birthday Megan

Megan turned two on Tuesday. It was so fun. We tried to do all of her favorite things, such as cleaning the fish, washing the dishes (3 times!!) and eating chocolate ice cream. It was too rainy and cold to go outside though, bummer. These pictures are in a weird order because blogger doesn't make any sense when it comes to picture uploading.

I think she totally looks like my brother Jonny did as a baby in this picture. Family of mine, what do you think?

The cake didn't turn out like the one in the magazine, but I was OK with it. Check below for a closeup. We have been practicing blowing for this event, but the candles were too far away for her, and she just blew on the edges. Afterward, we did it again with the candles closer to her, and she did below them out. Of course, not in front of a camera.

The animal cookies looked so good on the packaging, but not so great in real life. It was supposed to look like a zoo.

Birthday morning. Unfortunately, this is what we have been waking up to for a little while now. Hopefully, once she is over her cold, she will return to normal. In the meantime, we are collecting blackmail pictures.

2 months and Blessing Day

We blessed Melanie yesterday. It went well. Melanie had her 2 month appointment today. Shots are always hard. She is 11 lb 2.75 ozs (49th) and 22.25 inches (25th). We are getting ready for Megan's birthday. We are all dong well.
