Happy Fourth!

We had so much fun this Fourth. We went up to Burlington VT to visit the Teddy Bear factory, the ECHO aquarium, and Ben & Jerry's. On Saturday, we went to the Saratoga battlefield, the turning point of the Revolutionary War. We got to drive around and look at the various places of battle, see a cannon be fired, and listen to the Declaration of Independence (along with toasts) be read. Our favorite toast was: "May enemies of the United States have an itch without the benefit of scratching". It was really awesome that we were blessed with the opportunity to visit such an important place on the perfect day. We ended the day with a round of fireworks.

Bennington VT

We went to Vermont on Saturday. All of us love this state. It is only an hour away, which makes it even nicer!
A big bear made out of chocolate. YUM.
Megan was in heaven at a "Bearatorium". She was running around saying "Cute Bear", "Very Cute Bear" and "That is a cute bear"
Feeding fish at a hatchery.
"Daddy, throw you!"

Palmyra

This last Saturday we went up to Palmyra. It was a beautiful place and we had a awesome time. We are glad that we went when it wasn't crowded. We are planning to go again during the pagent.

Megan liked playing in the rocks. She fell down and skinned her knees for the first time.
Melanie, happy as a clam in the sling.

Having Fun.

We are trying to do more fun things in the evening once Russ gets home. Megan has a interesting spin on the activities that we do. I now know for myself why most things are free for the two and under set.

Megan mini golfing. She carried the balls around and retrieved them when we hit them. She was also a great cheerleader. We made 13 holes before the girls had had enough.
Go Mommy!!
This was her favorite part of bowling. The balls coming back.
Yes, you read that right. (I also beat him in mini golf.)
We finally convinced her to have a try.

Big Girl Beds

We switched the beds around yesterday. It was a big day. So far everything is going good.

Melanie is in the big girl crib. She is almost 4 months old and is such a good sleeper. I hope that I am not tempting fate by announcing it.
Meg in the bed. She loves to throw her animals out.
Megan thought Melanie looked too lonely in there by herself.

Megan conked out.
